My Mom

Mom began her journey in life May 11, 1959. She immediately touched the hearts of all those around her. She used to tell us about all the fun times she had as a kid and how much she loved her mom and dad. On June 16, 1978 Mom and Dad, her best friend since fifth grade, decided to get married and start their own family. Through the years they were able to bring us six kids into the world and raise us the best they knew how. We always had so much fun together. Mom was such a joker and loved to tease us and always try to make things interesting. There were lots of good times and of course there was always a fair share of tough times. But Mom and Dad always hit these hard times head on. The hardest times were the times that Mom found out that she had cancer, and she heard those words more than once. I was always so amazed at how strong Mom was. She tried so hard for so long to fight her battle with that ugly cancer. On July 11, 2007 she was relieved of all her pain and suffering. Her journey here on earth had come to an end. She gracefully returned home with Heavenly Father. I miss her more than words can say, as do her grandkids. I know I will get to see her again. As for now Heavenly Father has a different mission for her. I can't wait for the day to come that I can wrap my arms around her and tell her how much I love her. One of these days Mom!

Jamie,
What a neat thing to do. I have to say I am in tears right now. Your mom was such an amazing person, and I will forever remember her great personality and smile. She was one of the best camp leaders, and one strong lady. I look forward to more posts.

This is a super idea; and a great place for you to put your thoughts and feelings! I loved your mom too...great camp leader, great volleyball coach! She always had a smile and was always laughing. That is one of my favorite things about you and your sisters that you got from your mom...your laughter! And it is contagious! I love being around you guys! This will be a fun blog to read and reflect on a wonderful lady!

Jamie, It is so hard to lose your Mom even when she is 90 years old. Remember and cherish all the good times. Think about her often and always have her in your heart. She loved all of you kids and your Dad so much. I know she is working hard and can't wait until she can give you all a great big hug and smile. Always try to do your best so you and your family can be with her again. In the meantime, if you need a Mom for the day, give me a call. I will hug you and you can be one of mine. I love your family so much. Your Mom was a very special lady!

Jamie-
There are no words to say how wonderful this blog is. My mom and I looked at it together while talking in the phone. What a great way to keep your mom alive and keep the memories fresh. I have many wonderful memories of your mom (as many other young women from Egin do) and my mom during Girls Camp and Volleyball. Remember all those hard as a rock corn dogs we would try to choke down from Broulims and the fantastic Chef Salads from the Lamp Lighter. Your mom gave all you kids such an amazing gift. The gift of laughter! Every time I hear you or Jennie laugh, I think I am hearing your mom. I loved her very much and miss her too. I look forward to stocking this blog on a regular basis. Thank you so much for this chance to see the Sandy I love.

What a great tribute to not only your mom but my sister. I miss her so much and this website is so touching. I remember fun times growing up with her. She was a pain in my hiney at the time but now it is wonderful memories. She was the most mischievious sister ever born. She was always hiding in some corner or under my bed in the dark to scare me. Her and I were very close until I moved to Oregon and I miss them times. Thank you so much for keeping her memory alive for me.

Love ya,
Susan

Jamie,
It is so refreshing to see the Sandy we all know and love. I treasure the times spent with your mom. She helped me in so many ways. I think about her every day, as I drive through Parker, thinking about all of the carefree fun we used to have in that little town. (going on snipe hunts, hiding out at the 4way stop, walking to meet each other for mutual, hanging out on the fire escape on the old Parker Church etc.). As I think of my teenage memories, there aren't very many without your mom. (and your dad, you just couldn't have one without the other). I am thankful for the opportunities we've had together, in our teen years, and to share the same experiences with our own daughters when we kinda grew up!! I will always remember camp,( doing the army crawl through the bushes in order to avoid the Stake Leaders)and volleyball. Your mom is a chosen lady. I miss her laugh, but always remember it when I hear you and Jennie laugh. It IS contagious!! She is with you. I can see her in your and Rowdy's kids.
Thank you for letting us all remember Mah.

Love you always, Candy

Best of Fall
